Action is a professional media company. The start of the business was laid in 2006. Media group "Aktion" is a Russian supplier of content for professionals, publishes more than 40 electronic and print magazines (General Director, Commercial Director, Chief Financial Officer, Glavbukh, Simplisenka, etc.), 4 reference and information systems (Glavbukh System, Personnel System, Lawyer System, CFO System), online cloud accounting (Glavbukh program), holds many specialized events and conferences, develops and implements various electronic services, conducts educational projects and presents a number of leading professional awards. The company was founded in 1994, with more than 1,300 employees, and a head office in Moscow.

History

2014: Closing of CEO, launch of "Home Thought" project

In July 2014, it became known that the media group "Aktion" decided to close the CEO electronic magazine and launch a new project called "Main Thought"[1].

"The publishing house decided not to be published anymore," the media group commented on the closure of the project, refusing to explain the reasons for the closure of the magazine.

CEO magazine was focused on executives and top managers of companies (CEO or Chief Executive Officer - Chief Executive Officer). The creators chose an unusual way to submit material - each number focused on a certain player in the business and industry, talked about the consumer technology market, power, finance, Internet startups.

The CEO was released as an application in the Kiosk App Store, was adapted to the standards of viewing publications on iPhone and iPad devices. The developer of the application was Image Group.

The last issue of the magazine was published in February 2014. Subscribers of the application received as compensation a subscription to books as part of the new project of the publishing house - "Main Thought," within which the largest business publications are planned to be released in a brief.
