Opening for ₽2 billion of the first five-star hotel in Veliky Novgorod

On November 1, 2024, it became known that the Akron group opened the city's first five-star hotel, Acron Hotel Veliky Novgorod, which is part of the Radisson Individuals network, in the historical center of Veliky Novgorod. Purchase of a transformer plant in the UAE

Akron Holding Group announced the acquisition of a transformer plant in the United Arab Emirates. The deal with the Saudi holding to buy the plant, located in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, is due to close in the third quarter of 2024. This was announced on July 8, 2024 by the general director of Akron Holding Pavel Morozov.

Akron Holding conducts a technical, financial and legal audit of the plant. Pavel Morozov noted that the company, built in 2009 by Siemens together with Saudi partners, has not been functioning for the past two years due to problems in the partnership. However, the plant is equipped with the most modern equipment and advanced production lines, which makes its acquisition promising for Akron Holding.

The launch of production at the new plant is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. The plant will produce about 10 thousand transformers per year. The main markets for products will be the countries of the Middle East, and the enterprise itself will be considered as a hub for international sales.

Earlier, at the end of March 2024, Akron Holding opened a plant in the UAE for the production of copper wire rod from scrap metal. This event was an important step in strengthening the company's position in the international market and expanding its production capacity abroad.

Akron Holding is a vertically integrated full-cycle industrial and metallurgical holding engaged in the procurement and processing of scrap of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in Russia and the CIS countries. The acquisition of a transformer plant in Abu Dhabi is in line with the company's strategy to expand its presence in international markets and strengthen its position in the field of high-tech production.

Pavel Morozov also stressed that Akron Holding considers the location in the UAE as a strategic center for the sale of its products on the international market. The possible amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but the acquisition of a plant with modern equipment and established production lines promises significant benefits for the holding.^[1]

Purchase of "Transcat"

On January 30, 2024, it became known that the Akron Holding enterprise from the city of Togliatti, Samara Region, entered into an agreement on the acquisition of the St. Petersburg metallurgical plant Transkat.
