History
2022:15% increase in electrical equipment recycling
The metropolitan enterprise "Vtoraluminproduct" at the end of 2022 increased the volume of processing of spent electronic equipment by 15 percent compared to 2021. The company extracts up to 98% of plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and produces finished raw materials that are used in the creation of industrial and household goods. This was announced on February 6, 2023 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky.
Household appliances and electrical equipment require special disposal, since some components contain harmful substances that cause serious damage to nature. That is why it is important to hand over failed equipment to special points or organizations for further environmental processing. In Moscow, several enterprises are engaged in the collection and disposal of equipment, including Vtoraluminproduct. At the end of 2022, the company increased the volume of processing by 15 percent. Most of all, illiquid household appliances and office appliances were commissioned, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky. |
As noted in the company, the volume of processing of equipment increased as a result of the development of points and services for the collection of waste from individuals, including as part of the implementation of the project "Removal of unnecessary things."
In addition, from January 2021 Russia , landfill, computer electronic and optical equipment, which has lost consumer properties, is prohibited. Also, from March 2022, an order came into force, Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia according to which legal entities are obliged to transfer old household appliances only to those companies that have a license for the management of hazardous waste.
Electronics manufacturers have become more likely to contact us under the extended liability program for manufacturers, public and private companies that need to provide processing services. Thus, they not only comply with the requirements of the regulatory acts of the Russian Federation for disposal, but also show environmental responsibility - the serviced equipment goes for processing to conscientious recyclers, which produce secondary raw materials from it and do not allow dangerous components to enter the environment, - said Ilya Kachapin, General Director of PC Vtoraluminproduct LLC. |
