2022: Refusal to announce withdrawal from Russia amid crisis in Ukraine
In March 2022, the largest paint manufacturer in Europe, AkzoNobel, which produces, among other things, Dulux paints, did not rule out the collapse of its business in Russia due to supply problems and falling buyer solvency amid Russia's special operation in Ukraine and subsequent sanctions from the United States and the EU. In such conditions, it makes no sense to announce the departure from the market in which the company worked for more than 30 years, the head of AkzoNobel explained.
