The Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko, at a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko in July 2023, said that a building with an operating unit and an intensive care unit would be built on the territory of the emergency hospital (BSMP). The volume of investments under this project will amount to about 3 billion rubles.
According to Tomenko, 52 thousand patients a year turn to the regional hospital for help every year, another 20 thousand are undergoing inpatient treatment. By the end of July 2023, a project is being developed that requires approval from the Ministry of Health.
By the end of July 2023, the Altai Regional Clinical Emergency Hospital includes a multidisciplinary hospital for 521 beds, 21 resuscitation beds and an emergency room. The medical institution provides assistance to patients with surgical, trauma, cardiological and gynecological pathologies. Every year, more than 12 thousand surgical interventions are performed in the BSMP, including about 1.5 thousand high-tech ones.
The Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko also asked Murashko for help on other projects. He recalled that the region continues the reconstruction of the "problematic" tuberculosis hospital in Novoaltaisk and the construction of a 250-bed launch complex on its territory. In addition, there is a need for a new surgical building for an oncology dispensary in Barnaul.
Earlier it was decided to allocate another 1.9 billion rubles for the reconstruction of the building of the Regional Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1 in Novoaltaisk for the placement of the regional tuberculosis dispensary. It was planned to build a medical building designed for 250 beds. The reconstruction of the building of the Regional Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1 in Novoaltaisk began in August 2015[1]
