2025: Opening of the largest research center in Russia to study plant protection products. ₽8 billion invested in it

The largest research center in Russia for the study of plant protection products was put into operation in the urban district of Chernogolovka, Moscow Region. This is a project of the company "August." The volume of investments in the creation of the center exceeded ₽8 billion. The object received permission to enter the main department of state construction supervision of the Moscow region on November 20, 2025.

The center will explore ways to control harmful plants and insects and develop innovative ways to increase crops. The project included high-tech solutions of leading chemical industries in Russia and the world. The uniqueness of the facility is due to the concentration of advanced technologies in one place.

On the territory of the center there is a separate building with an area of ​ ​ 3 thousand square meters to accommodate the high-tech complex of artificial climate "Biotron." The equipment makes it possible to reproduce the climate of any geographical area of ​ ​ the world. The system creates controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, illumination and other parameters.

The complex provides year-round cultivation of plants for research in a wide range of scientific areas. The ability to model different climatic conditions accelerates the testing process. Researchers can study plant behavior and the effectiveness of protective equipment in conditions appropriate to different regions of the country and the world.

The laboratories of the chemical cluster will develop new means to control weeds and pests. These developments will help significantly increase the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the harvest of domestic agricultural producers. The creation of effective drugs requires many years of research and testing.

The company's developments will be widely applied and available not only to large agricultural enterprises, but also to small farms.
