Auris Health  — the developer of robots surgeons founded in 2007. The American company creates the equipment which is controlled the portable device similar to the joystick for video games. One of the products Auris Health are flexible tubes which are entered into the patient's lungs for recognition of possible cancer tumors.

History

2019: Johnson & Johnson purchased Auris Health for $3.4 billion

On February 13, 2019 the American producer of the medical equipment Johnson & Johnson announced acquisition of Auris Health for $3.4 billion. The buyer will pay all amount from own means, i.e. without attracting an action.

The agreement also assumes that Johnson & Johnson can pay $2.35 billion if Auris achieves certain results under a wing of corporation. About what purposes there is a speech, it is not specified. The parties expect to close the transaction by the end of the second quarter 2019.

This acquisition will accelerate arrival of Johnson & Johnson on the market of medical robots thanks to the potential of growth and development of other intervention applications, said in the statement of the company made on the occasion of Auris purchase.

Add to Johnson & Johnson that the company creates "the digital ecosystem connected to network" which uses data and robotic solutions for surgeries and quality improvement of treatment of patients.[1]

In Johnson & Johnson are aimed at the broadest approach to solutions for digital health care in relation to the surgical robotic equipment and plan not only development of more effective surgical procedures, but also their consolidation with the data collected within several months before transaction. It will allow to train better patients for surgical interventions and further to monitor improvements of a status of their health.
