2022: Plan to invest 200 million rubles in the production of wire from aluminum alloys

The experimental plant "Avial" (the group of companies "Hephaestus"), engaged in the production of wire from aluminum and aluminum alloys, will expand production in the Moscow region. The plant's products are in demand wherever aluminum structures are welded - from shipbuilding to aviation and the space industry. The land plot for the enterprise was helped by the Development Corporation of the Moscow Region, which announced this on November 18, 2022.

The Avial experimental plant is a high-tech production of aluminum wire, which was previously based in the Vidnoye and Zhitnevo villages of Domodedovo near Moscow. The company will retain these sites, but connects its development prospects with the object in the city of Protvino. Avial plant is a production facility that uses finish cleaning technology, after which the entire wire is ready for use and does not require editing and chemical etching. Due to this, a non-ecological operation to clean the surface from aluminum oxides is excluded from the preparation for welding. The company faces an ambitious task - to occupy a niche in which until recently foreign manufacturers were monopolists.

To illustrate how import substitution works in our field, let's take the technology for the production of metallized film. Such a film is used, for example, for packaging tea, chocolate and other foodstuffs. Previously, Spain supplied the wire for the film to Russia. Another example of packaged tea. The tea bags we brew every day also have aluminum wire, and it comes from Germany. As of November 2022, 50% of the Russian market for this wire is made by us from domestic raw materials. Therefore, we apply all our strength and use all our resources to promptly provide Russians with products that will not be inferior to foreign ones, "said Boris Igonkin, General Director of Avial LLC.

In the near future, Avial LLC plans to purchase equipment for the production building in Protvin, to make repairs in both of its halls - to modernize them for different technological lines, as well as equip the adjacent territory. The enterprise will be launched in mid-2023.

The company produces 20 tons of welding materials per month, the nearest time Avial plant plans to reach monthly 100 tons. The company produces wire for spikes for automobile wheels - in cooperation with a company that produces spikes for winter rubber.
