For 2017 company assets in Russia are among:

• B. Brown Medikal LLC is registration, certification, sales, marketing, service and educational programs.

• B. Brown Avitum Russland LLC is affiliated enterprise of group B. Braun, the supplying medical equipment and supplies for a hemodialysis. Since 2010 "B. Brown Avitum Russland" develops network of own centers of an out-patient hemodialysis. The centers create in partnership with government institutions and work according to the compulsory health insurance program.

History

2019: Investment of 3 billion rubles into the plant on release of medical products in the Tver region

On May 16, 2019 B. Braun Melsungen announced plans to invest about $3 billion in development of the Gematek enterprise located in Tver.  The company made the corresponding statement after the meeting of her representatives with the governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya.

In particular, at a meeting there was a speech about selection of the land plot according to construction of a new object, development of road infrastructure and routes of public transport around the existing plant. 

On May 16 the Governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya in Berlin held a meeting with representatives of B.Braun Melsungen company

"The region is ready to give to the company support in implementation of the new investment project and a number of preferences provided that taxes from work of the new enterprise will come to the budget of the Tver region"  — Igor Rudenya noted.

Investments will send to creation of a production and logistic complex and development of infrastructure of the enterprise. Upgrade assumes creation of 300 new jobs, step-by-step expansion of production of medical products, production of sutural materials, orthopedic implants and means of disinfection.

After reaching of the enterprise design capacity the expected amount of tax deductions in the consolidated budget of the Tver region will be more than 86 million rubles.

The new complex is necessary for development of the Gematek enterprise which is already existing in Tver which produces infusion solutions. Their production company B. Melsungen AG adjusted Braun in 2012, investment volume was 1.3 billion rubles. By May, 2019 capacity of plant is about 38 million bottles a year.

The CEO of B. Brown Medikal LLC Mikhail Petukhov who is quoted by the press service of the Tver government noted that the company management regards the Tver region as a strategic object for placement of production capacities. He also offered cooperation in implementation of the national Health care project in the direction of fight against oncological diseases.^[1]

2017: Discussion with the governor of the Tver region of plans of investment of 3 billion rub into the Gematek plant

On September 29, 2017 the governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya held a meeting with the CEO of B. Brown Medikal LLC Mikhail Petukhov and the CEO of Gematek LLC Maxim Zakharchenko. The prospects of development of the production of infusion solutions located in Tver were discussed.

"We welcome investments into the Tver region, the Russian Federation and we will create the most comfortable conditions necessary for work. Are ready to participate in promotion of your products and also to render assistance in certification", - Igor Rudenya noted^[2].

At this time the 38 million bottles enterprise in a year works round the clock, at the plant 250 people, generally – residents of Tver are employed. Annual contributions to the budget of the region make more than 30 million rubles.

"Seeing a possibility of development in the Russian Federation and it is specific in the Tver region, the B.Braun company considers the possibility of localization of production on the available squares and the next section. We are going to invest more than 3 billion rubles within five years", - Mikhail Petukhov reported.

Construction of a production and logistic complex with step-by-step input of production of medical products, sutural materials, orthopedic implants, means of disinfection is supposed. Thus, the company within 10 years is going to bring a portfolio of products manufactured in Russia to 2 thousand names. Quantity of the created jobs – 250. After reaching of the enterprise design capacity the expected volume of tax deductions in the consolidated budget of the Tver region should be more than 86 million rubles.

2016

640 employees in Russia

For 2016 in B. Brown Medikal LLC more than 640 employees across all Russia work. The company is provided almost in 50 regions of the country and takes the leading positions in deliveries of the medical equipment for the Russian medical institutions, and in a number of the directions is sure leaders. So, B. Brown Medikal LLC — the supplier of infusional pumps, largest in Russia.

Share of 13.4% in import of syringes to Russia

According to RNC Pharma analytical company, in 2016 into Russia it is imported foreign syringes on 4.2 billion rubles of 54% of the monetary volume of products it was the share of Germany. Among the largest importers analysts call SFM Hospital products (occupies 23.2% of the total amount of import) and B.Braun (13.4%)^[3].

2014: Purchase of Center of Dialysis

In 2014 Center of Dialysis the German medical the organization B. Braun, producer of supplies for dialysis, dialyzers and filters using modern materials and technologies and also devices for Dialog hemodialysis + became the owner.

2008: Purchase of Gematek - the largest producer of infusion solutions in the Russian Federation

The plant on production of infusion solutions of Gematek LLC was started in the territory of the Tver region in 2005. In the 2008th the enterprise was purchased by the German company B.Braun Melsungen AG.

Since June 25, 2008 the Gematek plant is included into the B.Braun group. The enterprise is one of the producers of infusion solutions, largest in the country.

2001: Creation of B. Brown Medikal LLC

In 2001 the company made the decision on expansion of presence in the Russian market and created affiliated enterprise — B. Brown Medikal LLC. The company is responsible for all range of works in the market of the country — registration, certification, sales, marketing, service and educational programs.

The 1980-1990th: Supply of equipment in clinics and to producers of medical products in the USSR

Good reputation products of the company of B. Braun deserved among employees of medical institutions of the USSR — in the 1980th years the company had a contract with the Ministry of Health according to which she delivered medical products and production lines on the Soviet enterprises. Some plants on production of syringes and in 2017 work on the equipment which was purchased in those days from B. Braun.

During the Reorganization era later, in the 1990s, the company delivered medicines, supplies and medical equipment through the Russian distributors. During this period the main focus was placed on the offer of the unique drugs and supplies made on the innovative technologies. Thanks to products B. Brown the Russian doctors and nurses could appreciate a set of modern clinical solutions: regionarny anesthesia, a clinical power supply, exact infusion by means of pumps and many other things came to Russia together with B. Braun.
