2025: Development and launch of a new system for tracking the movement of people and goods - invisible paint is applied to them, which is visible only to cameras
Moscow-based BPA Technologies has created an innovative system for monitoring the movement of people and objects based on invisible paint and artificial intelligence technologies. The development allows anonymous tracking of movement without using biometric data - a special composition is applied to clothes, equipment or inventory and differs only by specialized cameras. The system builds a digital displacement profile through real-time machine vision algorithms. The launch of the technology on September 2, 2025 was announced by the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow.
According to Izvestia, the company is a resident of the Lomonosov cluster and a member of the Moscow Innovation Cluster. The coloring composition is designed specifically for this system and remains invisible to the human eye with complete health and environmental safety. The material is resistant to external influences and is not erased upon contact with surfaces.
RussiaVadim Medyanik, Technical Director of BPA Technologies, explained that the system solves a wide range of tasks from analyzing consumer behavior in retail to monitoring equipment in warehouses and industry. The technology helps to manage passenger traffic in transport, rationally use office space and automate cleaning processes. Versatility and anonymity make the solution applicable where the use of biometrics is impossible or undesirable.
Cameras record special marks and transmit information to the analytical module for processing. The system maintains high accuracy in low light, high density of objects and dynamic movement. Each label represents an individual number in the system without reference to personal data or employee names.[1]
