2025: New ₽4,5 Billion Terminal Construction

The Novaport holding is completing the construction of a new airport complex at the Barnaul airport worth more than ₽4,5 billion, the commissioning of the facility is scheduled for October 2025. This was announced by the head of the Siberian cluster of the Novaport holding, general director of the Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport Konstantin Furyaev in April 2025.

According to TASS, despite initial plans to complete construction in the spring of 2026 according to an investment agreement, the company intends to hand over the facility ahead of schedule. The founder of the Novaport holding, Roman Trotsenko, previously informed that construction is on schedule, and the backlog of work does not exceed 10-14 days.

Konstantin Furyaev explained that at present the general contractor faced slight delays from suppliers. The reason is that the design of the facade of the new terminal uses complex structures that must be manufactured sequentially to meet exact dimensions.

The Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko noted that the architectural and artistic design of the new terminal will emphasize the regional identity of the Altai Territory.

After the completion of construction, the total area of ​ ​ the three-story airport complex will be about 10 thousand square meters. m, which is twice the area of ​ ​ the existing building. The increase in the area will significantly increase the capacity of the airport - the new terminal will be able to serve at least one million passengers per year.

According to the approved project, on the ground floor there will be areas for entrance inspection and registration of passengers, as well as an area for handling and receiving luggage, equipped with two conveyors. The second floor will include a pre-flight screening area, a block of office space and a mother and child room. On the third floor there will be a departure waiting room, an improved comfort room, commerce and catering areas.^[1]
