2024: Equipping ambulances with electronic warfare equipment
In the Belgorod region, ambulances were equipped with electronic warfare (electronic warfare) systems Breakwater"" to protect against Ukrainian drones. This was announced in early June 2024 by the developer of these complexes Stanislav (the full name was not disclosed for security reasons). The innovation is aimed at ensuring the safety of doctors and evacuated citizens in areas of increased danger.
The Volnorez systems are installed on ambulances that evacuate residents of the Belgorod region from areas subject to regular drone attacks. An ambulance in such conditions is an easily distinguishable and vulnerable target for the enemy. Electronic warfare systems "Volnorez" help to protect these cars and their passengers.
In theStanislav noted that adapting "Breakwaters" to medical cars was not an easy task. The developers had to rule out the possibility of negative effects of radioelectronic systems on medical equipment in order to avoid fatal consequences. This problem was still solved.
The developer said that the Volnorez electronic warfare system was first presented at the Army-2023 military-technical forum. The complex is made in the form of a small-sized cone with a length of 484 millimeters and a weight of 13 kilograms. It is installed on any military and civilian equipment using magnetic Velcro.
Stanislav added that one of the key features of Breakwater is its modularity. The complex can adapt to the specific frequencies required to suppress enemy drones in various areas of the front. Operators install new modules on their machines, thereby modifying the electronic warfare system for current threats in real time.
This approach makes it possible to effectively protect ambulances from drone threats, ensuring the safety of both medical personnel and evacuated citizens. Installing Volnorez systems on an ambulance is an important step in ensuring security in the conflict zone and demonstrates Russia's high technological readiness to protect its citizens, the developer said.[1] |
