2023: Dubna Production Launch

A new production site of BioMedical Production has opened in the Dubna SEZ, where diagnostic equipment will be produced. This was announced at the end of August 2023 by the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.

A resident of the Moscow Region SEZ "BioMedical Production" has been since October 2020. Erba Rus JSC invested a total of 54 million rubles in the creation of its production site. When the enterprise is at full capacity, 25 jobs will be created here.

A new production site of BioMedical Production has opened

The plant will produce various equipment for clinical laboratory diagnostics, as well as consumables and reagents for such equipment. For example, for biochemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, monitoring of diabetes and hemostasis, urinalysis. When production reaches its design capacity, up to 200 thousand units of products will be produced here per year. The plant complies with the international GMP ISO-13485 standard and is built using the technologies of the parent Indian company Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd.

As Mikhail Ikonnikov, General Director of BioMedical Production, noted during his speech, today hematological studies in clinical laboratory diagnostics are one of the most popular and often performed. The new enterprise is capable of producing about 500 packages of reagents per day, and when working in two shifts - a thousand packages. At the same time, the company adheres to the principles of import independence: in the future, the produced reagents will consist of domestic raw materials by more than 60%.

The investor of the project, Erba Rus JSC, is the Russian representative office of the international holding Erba (Erba Group), whose parent company is located in India. The holding supplies solutions for clinical laboratory diagnostics created on the basis of its own developments.^[1]
