History
2024: A large manufacturer of dietary supplements VTF bought out the Voronezh Bionorica plant
In early December 2024, it became known that the manufacturer of dietary supplements and drugs VTF acquired the production and warehouse complex of Bionorika Pharmaceuticals LLC in the Voronezh Region, previously owned by the German company Bionorica.
The acquired asset includes a plot of 12 hectares and buildings of an unfinished plant with a total area of about 9 thousand square meters. m, located on the territory of the Maslovsky industrial park.
The construction of the enterprise began in 2017 with an investment of four and a half billion rubles. The German manufacturer managed to put into operation the first stage of the project, however, due to problems with obtaining certificates for drugs, the launch of production did not take place. In 2021, all work on the site was frozen.
According to the publication, in August 2023, Bionorica decided to sell the plant, explaining this by the sanctions restrictions of the European Union, which made it impossible to import the necessary raw materials and special equipment for the production of drugs into Russia.
The buyer, a manufacturer of medicines and biological active additives, VTF, received 100% ownership in Bionorica Pharmaceuticals LLC. The complex is equipped with modern production and laboratory equipment, certified according to GMP standards and has a developed infrastructure.
The new owner plans to use production facilities both for the production of drugs under its own brand and for contract production. The parties did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
At the same time, the infrastructure of the plant makes it possible to establish the production of a wide range of pharmaceutical products in compliance with all international quality standards.[1]
