2024: Payment of ₽135 million in debt to Google Russia
On October 7, 2024, it became known about the repayment of debt by the digital agency JSC Блондинка.ру to LLC (Google a Russian legal entity of American Google, declared bankrupt) in the amount of ₽135 million. The debt was formed for services under the Google program and Advertisement was paid by the parent structure of the agency - the JSC fintech company. Point
According to RB.RU, the payment of debt took place in several stages. Initially, Google received ₽110,5 million of the principal debt and ₽19,5 million percent for the use of funds at the time of filing the claim on April 16, 2024. Later, in August 2024, the company received an additional ₽4,9 million in interest for the period from the date of filing the claim until July 26, 2024 - the date of transfer of the principal amount.
On June 7, 2024, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized Блондинка.ру 's accounts as an interim measure. After paying off the debt on August 9, 2024, the arrest was lifted. The court found that the debt was formed on 13 accounts open to "Блондинка.ру" under the program "Google Advertising."
Representatives of Tochka JSC confirmed the fact of full repayment of debt to Google LLC. They clarified that penalties were charged from the spring of 2022, when Google stopped providing services in Russia, until the application was submitted to the court in April 2024.
The Блондинка.ру agency, founded in 2007, became part of the Tochka fintech company in July 2022. According to Kommersant, the deal was estimated at ₽700 million.
The Блондинка.ру debt situation is part of a larger problem. After the Russian subsidiary Google was declared bankrupt, the Moscow Arbitration Court seized the accounts of a number of Russian advertising agencies for a total of ₽8,6 billion due to non-payment of IT company services under advertising agreements.
