Capsula is a Russian service that delivers personal clothing picks from stylists. The project was launched in 2019.
The company is developing a recommendation system that predicts the likelihood of purchasing a particular thing based on the comparison of customer data and their interaction with clothing from past orders. To use the service, you need to register and fill out a questionnaire in which Capsula clarifies the size, favorite colors and combinations in clothes and attitude to accessories. One of 35 stylists is assigned to the client, who helps with the compilation of the image. After ordering, couriers of the service deliver a box with a set of 6 items of clothing home.
History
2021: Raising $600,000 in investments
At the end of April 2021, Capsula announced the attraction of $600 thousand from a venture capital fund, Expo Capital business angel Oleg Maslennikov, director for to marketing Carprice Dmitry Ryzhov and an unnamed the European fund. The investments he received startup intend to spend on the development of his IT platform, strengthening the team and scaling the service, TAdviser Capsula said.
The founders of Capsula, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, are Pavel Shibanov (41.5%), Anastasia Shibanova (17.5%) and Igor Studennikov (41%). The company claims that its business grew about six times over the year, thanks to which it was possible to attract the attention of investors. By the end of April 2021, the startup delivered a total of more than 10 thousand orders, the company's monthly revenue is more than 10 million rubles (Capsula's own data).

Capsula at the end of April 2021 cooperates with more than 50 Russian and international clothing brands and works with its own warehouse.

2020: Attracting investment, including from YellowRockets
In early 2020, it became known that Capsula attracted investments from the YellowRockets venture capital fund, which received 5% of the company as a result of the transaction. In July 2020, the service raised $150 thousand from GettAlexander Artemyev, Sports.ru director Mark Ten, Sports.ru CFO Stanislav Korostelev and business angel Oleg Maslennikov.
