History
2024: Receiving Roman Abramovich's Russian real estate assets into management
On August 22, 2024, it became known that Russian real estate assets previously owned by billionaire Roman Abramovich were transferred to the management of Centrotrast. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).
According to RB.ru, Centrotrast received full control over a number of companies, including Millhouse LLC, Ank Development LLC, St Balchug LLC, Beletazh LLC, Western Estate LLC, Latis Firm LLC and Sital-Magh LLC. All these companies are related to real estate and previously belonged to the Cypriot offshore Protonius Investments Ltd, the ultimate beneficiary of which, according to media reports, was Roman Abramovich. Asset transfer transactions were officially registered on August 15, 2024.
According to the publication, the transfer of assets to the management of Centrotrast may be part of the strategy for protecting Roman Abramovich's property from sanctions pressure. Since the spring of 2022, the billionaire has been under the sanctions of the European Union and Great Britain, but American sanctions against him have not yet been introduced. In the face of increased sanctions pressure, information about the owners of a number of companies associated with Protonius Investments Ltd was hidden from public sources, but archival data has been preserved.
The sole shareholder of the trust company is Kirill Kubushka, who also holds the post of CEO. The trust structure allows asset management to be transferred to a trustee while maintaining returns for beneficiaries, which can provide protection against legal and financial risks associated with sanctions.[1]
2023: Sergey Gordeev transferred to the trust the management of a 20% stake in the PIK group
In October 2023, it became known that Sergei Gordeev, the controlling shareholder of the PIK group, reduced his stake in the company from 52.49% to 32.49%. At the same time, 20% of the shares were transferred to ZPIF "Institutional Investments in Residential Real Estate Fund No. 1," managed by Centrotrast.
2009: License of FFMS of the Russian Federation for management of mutual investment funds
Since 2009, JSC "Centrotrast" has been managing mutual investment funds on the basis of license No. 21-000-1-00575 of the 17.07.2008 issued by the FFMS of the Russian Federation.
2007: Founding of the Company
The Central Trust Company was founded in September 2007.
