History

2024: "Chernogolovka" bought "Cereals for Breakfast"

At the end of March 2024, the Chernogolovka group announced the purchase of the Cereals for Breakfast company. Its participants did not disclose the cost of the transaction. The acquirer in the transaction is Aqualife Resources Joint-Stock Company, the holding company of the Chernogolovka Group.

Under the terms of the agreement, Cereals for Breakfast will be part of the Food division of Chernogolovka and will complement the product range, which includes dry, ready-made breakfasts, cookies, chocolate confectionery, chips and snacks.

According to the analytical company Nielsen IQ, which Chernogolovka cites, by March 2024, the share of Zlakov for breakfast in the Russian market for dry ready-made breakfasts is 4.2% in monetary terms. As a result of the transaction, the aggregate share of the group is expected to exceed 30%.

The purchase of Zlakov for Breakfast was announced a few months after Chernogolovka acquired Kellogg Rus LLC, the Russian business of the American Kellogg's (brands Lyubyatovo, Pringles). The deal, which included production facilities in the Pskov, Voronezh and Smolensk regions, allowed the group to enter a new market segment.[1]
