Chelyabenergoremont is an energy repair company with more than 50 years of experience: in the field of installation, repair, modernization of the boiler house, turbine, electrical equipment of power plants, as well as electric networks and electric substations, large and small electric power industry.
In addition, the company has workshops for the production of spare parts for power plants.
As part of the restructuring program of RAO UES, in April 2003, a branch of Chelyabenergo Chelyabenergoremont OJSC was transformed into Chelyabenergoremont OJSC.
Since 2008, Chelyabenergoremont OJSC has been a subsidiary with 100% of the authorized capital owned by Fortum OJSC
History
2025: Russian subsidiary of the Finnish energy service company Fortum transferred to the management of the Federal Property Management Agency
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree transferring to the administration of the Federal Agency for State Property Management the share of the Finnish energy company Fortum in Chelyabenergoremont JSC. The document comes into force from the moment of official publication on the portal of legal acts. The decision was made on August 25, 2025.
According to RBC, the Dutch division of Fortum called Fortum Holding is the founder and full owner of shares in Chelyabenergoremont JSC. The authorized capital of the Russian company is ₽314,949 million.
Chelyabenergoremont JSC has been operating since 1953 and has been specializing in energy service services for more than seven decades. The main areas of the enterprise's work are the repair and modernization of boiler and turbine equipment for power plants of various types.
After the departure of foreign companies from the Russian market in 2022, a division for the maintenance and repair of wind power plants was created at the Chelyabenergoremont production base. This decision was made to replace retired foreign contractors in this segment.
The priority tasks of the enterprise are the development of maintenance of foreign equipment and the development of domestic analogues of spare parts for imported equipment. The staff of JSC Chelyabenergoremont exceeds 600 employees as of June 2023.
Danil Toroshchin has been appointed CEO of the company. The financial performance of the enterprise demonstrates revenue growth from ₽1,5 billion in 2022 to ₽2,35 billion in 2023. At the same time, profit more than tripled from ₽252,86 million to ₽73,67 million over the same period.
In the spring of 2023, Putin issued a decree transferring Russian Fortum units to the Federal Property Management Agency. The Kremlin explained this decision by retaliatory measures against the actions of the Western authorities in relation to the assets of Russian companies abroad.[1]
