2021: Creation of an agricultural holding
In mid-October 2021, it became known about the creation of Albert Khusnullin, the son of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, an agricultural holding - Chistopolye Holding Company JSC. The company is registered in Tatarstan, according to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
According to Kommersant, Chistopolye is controlled by Rybno-Slobodskoye KHPP LLC, at which there is an elevator with a capacity of 26.5 thousand tons of grain with the ability to load barges of 2 − 5 thousand tons on the banks of the Kama River.
Albert Khusnullin is also an investor in the Chistopolskaya agricultural firm, which grows cereals. The agricultural company also includes two enterprises - agricultural and dairy.
In a conversation with the newspaper, Sovekon director Andrei Sizov called Tatarstan a rather closed region, where the agricultural land market is poorly developed, which complicates the assessment of its value. Theoretically, the cost of arable land can be estimated based on prices in neighboring regions, where agricultural land costs from 30-50 thousand rubles per hectare, he added. Thus, the cost of well-known Chistopol crop farms can range from 660 million to 1.1 billion rubles, according to the publication of the publication.
The head of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies Dmitry Rylko noted that a multidisciplinary agricultural holding focused on the domestic market can be created in Tatarstan. According to him, the region mainly grows forage wheat and barley, and exports minimal volumes of grain. Among the advantages of the territory for the agricultural business, the expert highlighted the presence of qualified labor, and not the most favorable climate was attributed to the disadvantages.
According to Belov, Tatarstan also has its own milk processors, but the region is also known as a supplier of raw materials for dairy plants of neighboring subjects of the country. Andrei Sizov adds that Tatarstan is characterized by the intervention of the authorities in the local agribusiness, on the other hand, local officials and more actively support agriculture.[1]
