Civil Commission on Human Rights
The civil Commission on Human Rights (GKPCh) is non-profit public organization which is engaged in investigation and the bringing to publicity of human rights violations in the field of psychiatry.
GKPCh is founded in 1969 by Church of Scientology and the world famous writer, doctor Thomas Sas deserved by professor of psychiatry in resignation of the University of the State of New York in Syracuse. At that time the victims of psychiatry represented all the forgotten group of the people pining in awful conditions of the psychiatric clinics scattered worldwide. Therefore the Civil Commission on Human Rights formulated the Declaration of human rights in the field of sincere health which serves as the management for carrying out reform in the field of sincere health.
Activity of the Civil Commission
Thousands of people annually address to GKPCh to announce abuses and crimes in psychiatry, false imprisonment, fraud, sexual violence, inhuman treatment and terrible conditions in mental health facilities. GKPCh documents all these abuses and crimes and helps people to inform of the information about them appropriate authorities. The commission also makes broader investigation of activity of psychiatrists, for example, fraud with an insurance, the high level of death rate in mental health facilities, undeserved attaching on children of diagnostic labels like "child with mental deviations" and a podsazhivaniye on psychiatric medicines of millions of people.
