Renaming
The Regional Committee for Communications and Informatization has been renamed the Digital Development Committee since January 1, 2019.
The Committee on Telecommunications and Informatization of the Leningrad Region was renamed the Committee on Communications and Informatization of the Leningrad Region by a resolution of the Government of the Leningrad Region dated 03.06.2015 N 193.
Areas of activity
State regulation in the field of application and use of IT, creation of information systems and access to information contained in them, maintenance of the register of IT systems of the Leningrad Region, security and protection of information, creation of conditions for the development of communication infrastructure of the region and ensuring its integration with international communication networks, as well as ensuring the provision of public services to the population in electronic form.

Andrey Sytnik - the new head of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region
On August 10, 2021, the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region announced the appointment of Andrei Sytnik to the post of head. He replaced Denis Zolkov, who headed the committee for less than a year. More details here.
Appointment of Denis Zolkov as Chairman of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region
On January 26, 2021, Denis Zolkov was officially appointed chairman of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region. The corresponding order a day earlier was signed by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, according to the committee's website. More details here.
