Denis Zolkov graduated from the Murmansk Humanitarian Institute in 2008.

Biography

2012

Since 2012, Denis Zolkov worked in senior positions in Murmansk, and then in the Macro-regional branch of North-West PJSC Rostelecom.

2018

Denis Zolkov began working in the executive authorities of the Leningrad Region in October 2018. In particular, he was:

  • Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Communications and Informatization of the Leningrad Region - Head of the Department for the Development of Information Support and State Programs;
  • Deputy Chairman of the Digital Development Committee of the Leningrad Region - Head of the Department for the Development of Digital
  • Acting Chairman of the Digital Development Committee of the Leningrad Region.

2021: Appointment as Chairman of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region

On January 26, 2021, Denis Zolkov was officially appointed chairman of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region. The corresponding order a day earlier was signed by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, according to the committee's website.

Zolkov served as chairman of the Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region from the end of September 2020, when Victoria Kuznetsova left the post of chairman. He headed the committee since August 2018. Its tasks included forming an effective management team, then conducting anti-crisis measures - creating a situation center, completing the introduction of medical information systems and the development of a photo and video recording system for traffic violations.

The Committee for Digital Development of the Leningrad Region is responsible for the state policy of the region in the field of digitalization, informatization, digital and information technologies, information protection, communications, the provision of state and municipal services in electronic form, and the use of the results of space activities.[1]
