2019: EPAM purchased Competentum

The company EPAM Systems, world service provider on development of digital platforms and the software, announced on July 2, 2019 TAdviser Competentum acquisition — the company expert in development, optimization and personalisation content of training programs and the creator corporate systems of distance learning ShareKnowledge. Financial terms of transaction are not disclosed.

By calculations of EPAM, acquisition will allow the company to expand own examination in development of educational platforms and educational process for engineers in and outside the company and also to optimize offers on digital transformation for clients from such industries as media, health care, publishing and educational technologies.

As representatives of EPAM Systems specified, Competentum mainly specializes in development and optimization of educational solutions, has experience in creation of the digital platforms and services focused on maintenance of thoroughly thought over, interactive educational process with implementation of artificial intelligence.

It is supposed that the ShareKnowledge platform will become the addition to the EPAM Agile Professional Development program. Besides, it will be used as a basic accelerator in creation of solutions in the field of Risk & Compliance where compliance to the state and corporate standards is extremely important.

1993-2008

2008  — the Competentum company attracts investments of Earlier Stage Alternative Fund for development of the existing products of e-learning and for creation of new products and services.

2007-2008  — emergence of a large number of products for e-learning in the corporate sector: author's means for development of rates, library of ready business rates. Competentum is called "The partner of year of Microsoft" in Central and Eastern Europe and the winner in tender of partner solutions in the field of e-learning.

2007  — the new training management system of ShareKnowledge developed on portal technologies of Microsoft was issued. Competentum received the status Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

2006-2008  are developments of training multimedia courses within the national Education project.

2006  — the Competentum group Is formed (merger of companies of FIZIKON, OpenTeach Software Inc., Kompetentum Service).

2004  — the technology platform of Competentum Is developed for creation of the large distributed information systems. The platform became a basis for development of the system of training management of Competentum.Instructor.

From the very beginning the company was engaged in development of the training computer programs.
