History

2022: Millhouse buys' Crystal Boarding Hotel'from former city mayor

In mid-February 2022, it became known about the sale of the Crystal Hotel-Boarding House to the MillhouseRoman Abramovich group. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Prior to that, according to RBC, the Kristall Boarding House Hotel belonged on a parity basis to the ex-mayor of Gelendzhik and former State Duma deputy Sergei Ozerov and Valery Ozerov. Sergey Ozerov headed Gelendzhik from 1998 to 2007. He left the post of mayor when he was elected a State Duma deputy in December 2007, he had one convocation in parliament.

Abramovich bought the "Crystal Boarding House Hotel" from the former mayor of the city

Timur Ryvkin, director of the department of residential real estate and land development at Colliers, estimated the market value of real estate at 350-450 million rubles. He believes that the new investor will build a hotel or apartment complex with a total area of 24,000 square meters. m.

According to a TASS source familiar with the real estate market of the Krasnodar Territory, this is not Abramovich's first deal in Gelendzhik, he also buys land for construction. As the interlocutor of the agency noted, if in Sochi real estate is becoming more and more expensive, and the volume of supply is less and less, then in Gelendzhik "there is somewhere to turn around." Abramovich may engage in resort development of the territory, which in the future will benefit the city, which recently adopted a new general plan, the source said.

Most cities of the Black Sea coast, including Gelendzhik, seek to repeat the success of Sochi, says Yulia Galimova, general director of the Sochi company Nedvex. Both in Sochi and in Gelendzhik by February 2022, the demand for housing has increased, but at the same time there are restrictions on new construction, including, therefore, there is an increased interest in redevelopment and reconstruction projects, she said in a conversation with RBC.[1]
