2022: Oracle continued to operate in Russia under a new name

On October 10, 2022, it became known about the continuation of the work of Oracle's consulting division in Russia, but under a new name - Data Prime.

According to Interfax, citing data from the SPARK-Interfax system, the new company was registered on September 27, 2022, its general director is Beresnev Vladislav, who had previously headed the sales of services in metallurgy and mining for several years at the Russian office of ORACLE NEDERLAND B.V.

{{quote 'We will continue to provide our clients with consulting and technical services in full and with the same consistently high level of quality and client service, - said in Data Prime. - Our goal is to provide customers with the best solutions and technologies, suggesting that from what is on the market today, meets the goals and objectives of our customers in the best way, without limiting itself to the framework of formal obligations to any vendor. }} It is noted that the Russian division of Oracle Consulting worked in Russia in the form of a "representative office of a foreign company" ("ORACLE NEDERLAND B.V."), which limits the possibility of reorganizing this type of legal entity into an independent, independent form of activity. In connection with the peculiarities of such a legal form, it was decided to register the division in a completely new, independent legal entity, having inherited an examination in the form of local specialists.

Oracle made the decision to suspend its work in Russia for an indefinite period in early March 2022, stopping working with Russian clients in terms of sales and support of previously purchased products in connection with the start of a Russian special operation in Ukraine. Later, Oracle also announced the closure of its divisions in Russia.[1]
