Department of Civil Protection, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Kurgan Region

The Department of Civil Protection, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Kurgan Region is the executive body of state power of the Kurgan Region, conducting public policy and carrying out sectoral and cross-sectoral management in the field of study, regulating the use, reproduction, protection of natural resources, environmental protection, ensuring environmental safety and safety of hydraulic structures, responsible for the implementation of state policy in the field of environmental education and the formation of environmental culture in the Kurgan region, as well as in the field of ensuring radiation safety, fire safety, ensuring the protection of the population and territories of the Kurgan region from emergencies of an inter-municipal and regional nature, civil defense.

History

2021: Renamed the Department of Civil Protection, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Kurgan Region

By the Decree of the Governor of the Kurgan Region of August 11, 2021^[1] to the Appendix to the Decree of the Governor of the Kurgan Region of July 1, 2019 No. 47 "On Approving the Structure of Executive Bodies of State Power of the Kurgan Region Engaged in Sectoral or Intersectoral Management," the following change was made: the words "Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Kurgan Region" are replaced by the words "Department of Civil Protection, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Kurgan Region."

2020: Joining the Department of Protection of the Population from Emergencies and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Kurgan Region

By Decree of the Government of the Kurgan Region of May 29, 2020 No. 168^[2], reorganization was carried out in the form of joining the Department for the Protection of the Population from Emergencies and Ensuring Fire Safety of^[2] Region to the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Kurgan Region. From September 1, 2020, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Kurgan Region became the successor to all the rights and obligations of the Department for the Protection of the Population from Emergencies and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Kurgan Region.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Kurgan Region was the executive body of state power of the Kurgan Region, which carried out state policy and carried out sectoral and intersectoral management in the field of study, use, reproduction, protection of natural resources, environmental protection and environmental safety.
