Pharmasintez invests 0.5 billion rubles in the East Farm intravenous nutrition plant in Ussuriysk. The group announced this on February 16, 2022.

The president of the Pharmasintez group of companies Vikram Punia discussed plans to launch a workshop for the production of parenteral nutrition at a meeting with the governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako. According to the latter, the new project will be a new stage in the development of the pharmaceutical industry of Primorye. The construction of the plant will provide such necessary drugs, which by mid-February 2022 are purchased abroad, all medical institutions of the region, he said.

In turn, Vikram Punia noted that parenteral nutrition solutions are needed for those patients who cannot eat independently who are in intensive care units.

We have developed technology, pre-clinical trials of such drugs are already underway. And now, on the basis of the East Farm company, we are embarking on the construction of a new plant in Ussuriysk, investing more than 500 million rubles in the project, "said the head of Pharmasintez in mid-February 2022.

Oleg Kozhemyaka in his Telegram channel said that we are talking about the construction of Russia's first plant for the production of intravenous nutrition for patients in intensive care. The company will work in Primorye by mid-2023. Kozhemyako added that the regional authorities will support the project. The planned capacity of the new line is 800 million doses per year.

East Farm is one of the few domestic pharmaceutical companies specializing in the production of infusion solutions. According to the SPARK-Interfax system, it was registered in 2003 in the Primorsky Territory.^[1]
