2024: Attracting ₽82 million for digitalization

Concern TsNII "Electropribor," a leading Russian institute in the field of high-precision navigation and gyroscopy, received a loan of ₽82,1 million for the modernization of production and digitalization. This became known in October 2024. The funds were allocated by the St. Petersburg Industrial Development Fund under the program "Digitalization Projects for Industrial Enterprises" for a period of 60 months at 1-3% per annum.

TsNII "Electropribor" specializes in the development and production of a wide range of navigation equipment and communication systems for the navy. The company produces inertial navigation systems, gyroscopic devices, electronic mapping software, as well as automated radio communication systems for ships and submarines.

The funds received will be used to purchase new equipment and modernize existing production lines. It is expected that the implementation of the digitalization project will allow the Central Research Institute "Electropribor" to increase the production efficiency and quality of products.

The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, noted that support for industry is one of the priorities of the city government. The Industrial Development Fund provides enterprises with loans on favorable terms for the purchase of equipment, modernization of production and overcoming dependence on foreign technologies.

The Central Research Institute "Electropribor," founded in 1927, has the status of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation. In addition to the main site in St. Petersburg, the institute has branches in Gatchina, Lebyazhye and Moscow, as well as a test base on Lake Ladoga.

The company actively cooperates with domestic organizations, including the Russian Navy, and foreign partners from the USA, Germany, India, China and other countries. Central Research Institute "Electropribor" also holds a number of international scientific conferences on navigation systems and control problems.[1]
