2022 was a period of transformation for System Electric, we became a completely Russian production company. It is important to emphasize that we have retained key assets, the team and continue the course towards import substitution. In 2022, at the SEZEM plant, we created conditions for further expansion of localization. By mid-2024, we plan to produce most of the components for the production of RME GIS independently in Kommunar or work with suppliers from the Russian Federation, - said Alexey Kashaev.

Sergei Sokolov, General Director of SEZEM LLC, said that as of March 2023, more than 85,000 complete switchgears manufactured in Kommunar are installed and operate throughout the Russian Federation. In 2022, the company created an assembly line for the production of medium-voltage switchgears - cells of complete switchgears (switchgears) - and one-way prefabricated service chambers (CSR), modernized and automated the secondary circuit testing area. Together, these measures make the production process more efficient.

Representatives of the company drew the attention of the regional leadership to the possibility of the SEZEM plant to become one of the flagship enterprises in the region for the localization and import substitution of electrical products, thanks to close cooperation with the Mechanotronika Scientific and Technical Center (St. Petersburg, part of the System Electric Group of Companies). Due to the availability of up-to-date production equipment, the plant is a testing center for the development of the Mechanotronics research and development center. SEZEM products are used in the implementation of large-scale projects for energy facilities of civil and industrial infrastructure, power supply lines, and data processing centers. Further expansion of the plant's competencies will create new jobs and increase tax revenues to budgets of all levels.
