On January 25, 2017 the Raidix company announced implementation of Raidix Video Surveillance technology in the St. Petersburg Mining University for security management on objects of university. The VIT-Center company took part in the project.
Project Tasks
Before implementation of DWH based on RAIDIX the IT service of the university used hardware storage systems and experienced obvious difficulties with data management, selection of volumes and sections of storage, scaling of the existing system, etc. Providing flexible hardware-software infrastructure for storage and effective processing of multiple parallel video flows with a high performance and reliability became the main objective of the university.
On set of functional and commercial advantages a choice of university is made for benefit of DWH of SANATA based on RAIDIX. The VIT-Center system integrator became the supplier of DWH.
Project Progress
Since 2011 within the project of support of infrastructure of video surveillance on objects of the university are delivered by VIT-Center system integrator and Raidix company 12 DWH of SANATA on the RAIDIX Video Surveillance platform with a total capacity of storage about 1 PB.
Project Results
In the delivery more than 30 servers. RAIDIX provided processing of video from 700 cameras on 7 objects of the university.
