2000: Formation of the company
February, 2000 - Enterasys Networks becomes the largest of four companies formed as a result of reorganization of a production infrastructure of Cabletron Systems.
The company name - Enterasys Networks - is formed by a combination of two words: Spanish "entero" important "whole" and English "system".
The company offers network equipment of the class high-end for corporate users, in particular for mid-size enterprises and large corporations. These segments of the market have the largest potential both for use existing, and for implementation and adaptation of new network technologies and the equipment that does them the most attractive to Enterasys.
2008: Entry into the structure of SEN
On July 29, 2008 The Gores Group redeemed 51% in Siemens Enterprise Communications. As a part of a payment for this asset in the amount of $550 million Gores Group transferred the Enterasys and SER Solutions companies belonging to it.
2013: Extreme Networks signed the agreement on Enterasys Networks acquisition
On September 12, 2013 Extreme Networks and Enterasys Networks made the statement that Extreme Networks signed the final agreement about acquisition of all issued shares of Enterasys for cash in the amount of $180,000,000.
