2023: Creation of production of pharmaceutical substances for 500 million rubles

In November 2023, it became known about the creation of the first production of pharmaceutical substances in the North Caucasus (raw materials from which pharmaceutical solutions are made). The project worth 500 million rubles is being implemented by the Eskom concern from the Stavropol Territory.

As the chairman of the board of directors of the company "Eskom" Gelani Azirov said, they began to think about this project a few years ago, when there were problems with logistics supplies from China.

Production of pharmaceutical substances is being created in the North Caucasus

We began to think that we needed to produce our own substance. Now we have prepared a project, we will consider financing the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) and the federal Ministry of Industry and Trade so that we can partially produce substances for our drugs... This direction is not very developed in the country, - he explained (TASS quotes the words of the interlocutor on November 2, 2023).

By November 2023, Eskom is one of the largest companies in the pharmaceutical market in Russia and the only manufacturer of infusion solutions in the south of the Russian Federation. In total, it produces 120 types of drugs. It produces 215 million injectable drugs, 140 million infusion solutions, 20 million units of disinfectants per year. By November 2023, most of the pharmaceutical substances are imported from abroad, said Gelani Azirov.

According to SPARK-Interfax, OJSC "Scientific and Production Concern" Eskom "is registered in Stavropol. Earlier, external management was introduced against the legal entity due to the bankruptcy procedure. In relation to the subsidiary, Eskom-SPB LLC, a similar procedure was also organized. On September 15, 2023, the current decisions of the Federal Tax Service on the suspension of operations on the company's accounts appeared.^[1]
