As a result of the merger of three funds in April 2020 (see below), Rossium's share in Evolution NPF increased to almost 60%. Far Eastern Bank and Region Investment Company retained just over 6% and 5% of the share capital of the single fund. At the same time, RN's pension assets fell below 16%, and the Wildlife Society's share dropped to almost 8%. The new shareholder of Evolution was the Leningrad Adagio Investment Company, which received a stake of almost 5%.

2024: Growth of income from investment activities by 24% to 38 billion rubles

On March 28, 2025, the financial results of the activities of NPF Evolution JSC in 2024 were published. The total value of assets under its management reached 423 billion rubles by the end of the reporting period. Over the year, the figure grew by 12.5%. The equity of NPF Evolution JSC amounted to 31.3 billion rubles. Revenues from customers under existing contracts increased sharply to 29.4 billion rubles, which is 92% more than in 2023.

Investment income of NPF Evolution grew by 24% over the year and reached 38 billion rubles

According to the data on the official portal of the fund, the financial result from investment activities exceeded 38 billion rubles, which is 24% more than in 2023. The portfolio is formed mainly from bonds of reliable issuers and bank deposits. A significant part of the assets was accounted for at amortised cost.

Under the long-term savings program, the yield for customers was 22.01% per annum. Under non-state pension agreements (NGOs), the yield on the basic strategy reached 9.61%, according to the Maximum Opportunities strategy - 9.78%. Under compulsory pension insurance (OPS) contracts, the fund accrued income of 6.48%.

According to the press service of the institution, obligations to depositors are fulfilled in full. The total amount of pension payments in 2024 exceeded 13.9 billion rubles. Of this amount, 9.3 billion rubles were payments for NGOs, and 4.5 billion rubles - for OPS.

According to the information presented on the fund's website, NPF Evolution JSC is one of the ten largest funds in the country in terms of assets, and the number of its clients exceeds 2 million people.[1]

Joining Consent, Social Development and Education Funds

In April 2020, the non-state pension fund (NPF) Evolution completed the accession of the Consent funds (owned by the Rossium concern), Social Development and Education (both belonged to the Leningradskoye Adagio investment company), according to extracts from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities of the United Fund. As a result, an NPF was created with assets of about 272 billion rubles. (based on the reporting of funds at the end of 2019). Its obligations on compulsory pension insurance amounted to 165 billion rubles, and on non-state pension provision exceeded 80 billion rubles.

Earlier, the shareholders of NPF Evolution were Roman Avdeev's Rossium concern (57.4% shares), 7.5% was owned by the Far Eastern Bank (DVB), which is controlled by Sergey Sudarikov's Region group of companies, and also 6.3% by Region Investment Company (part of the group of the same name). In addition, the company "RN pension assets" owned 19%, and the Society for the Conservation and Study of Wildlife and Assistance to the Development of Social Programs - 9.8%. Their beneficiaries are unknown.

"Wildlife Society" becomes a shareholder of the fund

In January 2020, one of the country's largest non-governmental pension funds (NPFs), Evolution, had a new shareholder, the Wildlife Society, a non-profit organization (NPO).

This NGO, actively cooperating with the oil company Rosneft, bought almost 10% of its shares from the fund itself.

The activities of the society are the maintenance of polar bears in zoos, the creation of a forest monitoring system, as well as school forestry.
