2023: Labquest bought the complex from ForaLab
On June 1, 2023, it became known that the LabQuest group of companies entered into an agreement to acquire a ready-made technological complex in St. Petersburg from the ForaLab laboratory. The transaction amount amounted to 50 million rubles.
It is reported that the new laboratory complex is located at ul. Smolenskaya, d. 33. It consists of six departments - areas of general clinic, biochemistry, immunochemistry, bacteriology, molecular diagnostics and pathomorphology. The total area of the premises is approximately 500 square meters.
According to LabQuest, the site is equipped with modern equipment from the world's leading manufacturers: Thermo Fisher, DNA Technology, Sysmex and Siemens. There is an automated Roche Cobas 6000 platform - a modular system that combines immunochemical and biochemical studies from a single sample. It is expected that up to 20,000 diverse studies will be able to be performed on the basis of the laboratory every day.
The plants available in the laboratory allow all the required research in St. Petersburg - without the need to send biomaterial to the technological complex in Moscow. In particular, immunochemical (including hormones), biochemical and general clinical studies can be carried out at the new site. In addition, such areas of work as cancer markers, "hospital four," PCR diagnostics, bacteriology and histology are named. Some studies, such as immunochemistry, biochemistry, general clinical and all types of research on coronavirus infection will become available urgently (CITO).
LabQuest also notes that rare specialized tests will be performed at other in-house production sites. In the future, it is planned to increase the capacity of the new laboratory and conduct more than 2,500 studies in St. Petersburg from the company's catalog.
