2023: Entering the Russian Market

In April 2023, Avtodom Group of Companies and Mercedes-Benz Rus JSC (Avtodom previously bought Mercedes-Benz assets in the Russian Federation) signed a distribution agreement for the supply of commercial Forland equipment to Russia. Thus, the companies received exclusive rights to import small and medium-tonnage chassis of the Forland brand and decided on plans to expand their joint business.

The official start of sales of Forland in Russia is scheduled for the second half of 2023. It is planned to supply a wide range of chassis with a gross weight of 3.5 to 18 tons to the Russian market. In addition, the companies plan to cooperate with local foremen and sell full-set cars with various types of bodies, the most popular Russian consumers, the press service of Avtodom Group of Companies notes. Specific models that are planned to be delivered to the Russian market are not named by the end of April 2023.

According to the general director of Mercedes-Benz RUS JSC Natalya Korolyova, the company is confident that it will be able to become a reliable partner and representative of the Forland brand on the Russian market in the segments of low-tonnage cars and medium-tonnage trucks.

By April 2023, the Avtodom dealer group is one of the largest holdings in Russia for the sale and maintenance of premium and luxury cars. The company has 14 brands in its portfolio. The dealer has 36 centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar.[1]
