The Frame company also known under name Mainframe2 offers the platform providing to developers and business the safe environment for work in Windows and Linux within cloud infrastructure. The solution Frame broadcasts in real time a program video flow in browsers of users, providing access to funds 3D - modeling and graphic design and also to other applications which are too exacting to computer resources that they could be started locally. The main advantage of the technologies Frame developers call ease of use.

From the moment of the foundation in 2012 till August of the 2018th Frame attracted in total $28.5 million. Clients of the company are Adobe, VMware, Autodesk, Siemens, etc. The staff of Frame totals about 100 employees.

History

2018: Nutanix purchased Frame

At the beginning of August, 2018 the equipment manufacturer for data centers of Nutanix announced acquisition of Frame for $165 million. The buyer confirmed with this transaction the aspiration to actively develop cloud business.

Nutanix already offers infrastructure of virtualization of desktops (VDI) in the hyper convergent solutions, but acquisition of Frame will allow the company to propose cloud solutions of VDI (DaaS, a desktop as service). According to forecasts of analysts of Gartner, about a half of new users of VDI by 2019 will use platforms of DaaS.

Nutanix strengthens cloud business by purchase of the developer of virtual desktops

After closing of the transaction on Frame sale (it is planned for August, 2018) the platform of the company will support virtual machines Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure "in one click". Also the compatibility is planned with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Nutanix Xi Cloud.

Accession of Frame will allow Nutanix to become the company specializing in deliveries of cloud services, the CEO of Frame Nikola Bozinovic considers.[1]
