GPTP "Granite"

GPTP "Granit" (JSC "Head Production and Technical Enterprise" Granit ") is a Soviet/Russian enterprise of the military-industrial complex that ensures the completion of the final stage (installation, docking, tuning directly with the customer) in the process of creating complex weapons systems, their maintenance and repair after handover, as well as disposal after decommissioning. The leading enterprise as part of the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern for repair and restoration work at air defense, missile defense, SPRN, SKKP and Space Forces.

History

• In 1952, by joint Decree of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks and the Council of Ministers No. 992-319, SMU-304 was formed as part of plant No. 304 for the commissioning of Sistema 25, the first anti-aircraft missile system designed for the air defense of Moscow and the central industrial region.
• Since 1956, the company has been introducing measuring complexes Binoculars, Irtysh, Kama, Vistula, KT-50 and SKT-80 at their locations. Specialists of the enterprise were included in the 16th Antarctic expedition - a stationary version of the Kama station was deployed in Antarctica to determine and control wind speed, missile trajectories and probes [3].
• Since 1964, the company has been installing, adjusting, docking and commissioning the ground and duty information equipment of the A-35 missile defense system (Argun, S-225 Azov, Yenisei, Tobol systems).
• Since 1966 - GPP (Head Production and Technical Enterprise). GPP specialists participated in the creation of above-horizon ground-based long-range detection radars of the Dnipro, Daryal and Don-2N types [4] [5] [6].
• Since 2002 - OJSC GPP Granit.
• From 26.04.2007 to 25.07.2008 - GNPO Granit OJSC (Granit Head Scientific and Production Association for the Repair and Maintenance of Weapons and Military Equipment).
