2015: Opening of a representative office in Russia

In April 2015, it became known that in connection with the opening of the Russian branch of the Getty Images agency, from May 1, 2015, Empire Images Photobank LLC ceases work on licensing and transfer of rights to materials of the Getty Images agency. Going forward, Getty Images begins operating in the Russian market directly through its Getty Images Russia representative office.

Getty Images marketers have long drawn management's attention to the prospects of the Russian image market, its growing volumes. To be closer to its customers in Russia, the company decided to open a representative office in Moscow. Thus, Getty Images will intensify support for Russian customers and will develop new directions for the promotion of its services in Russia.
