Israel is a parliamentary republic and the entire executive power is owned by the government and the prime minister.

The president of the country is a nominal figure.

2025: Israeli Foreign Ministry pays American bloggers for positive publications on Israeli policy in Palestine

In the United States, journalists revealed a large-scale Israeli outreach project codenamed the Esther Project, whose main task was to promote Israeli narratives through a network of American bloggers.

Information regarding the Esther Project was revealed thanks to mandatory documents that the Israeli company Bridge Partners LLC filed with the US Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The materials contained details about the organization's infrastructure, funding and activities.

The owners of Bridge Partners LLC are the Israelis - Uri Steinberg and Yair Levy. Steinberg previously worked at the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, and at this time positions himself as an intermediary between Israeli and American organizations, mainly in religious and tourist areas.

The $900,000 project operates from June to December 2025 and is a network of about 14-18 American bloggers who are paid up to $7,000 per post (publication volume - 25-30 posts per month) with positive content about Israel's policy against the background of the genocide that the country conducts in Palestine.

The money came through the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then through the German branch of Havas, and then to Bridge Partners LLC.

US law requires the registration of persons and organizations working on the instructions of a foreign government and receiving payment for this as foreign agents.

In this case, bloggers who received Israeli money were most likely required to register under FARA law and indicate in publications that the content was sponsored by a foreign government.

However, almost none of them have registered as foreign agents - which is most likely a violation of the Foreign Agents Act.

Against the backdrop of the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israel is losing the information war.

ICC issues arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu over Gaza operation

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for the head of government and ex-Israeli Defense Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant for the operation in the Gaza Strip, the instance said in a statement.

What happened is similar to the "Dembel chord" of those behind US President Biden. Before he leaves, the US authorities are doing everything that will affect his receiver Donald Trump after his inauguration.

Donald Trump himself has close family ties to Jewish ultra-Orthodox people.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz appointed to the post of head of the Ministry of Defense

In November 2024, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired the country's Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

Netanyahu said that he decided to appoint Foreign Minister Israel Katz to the post of head of the Ministry of Defense.

2022: Netanyahu elected prime minister for third time with ultra-Orthodox backing

To form a government, Netanyahu, who became prime minister for the third time in November 2022, entered into a coalition with several far-right parties. Some of them represent the interests of ultra-Orthodox Jews (Haredi) in the Knesset.

In addition to the fact that society actively opposes the dictatorship of the far right, and people have already aroused distrust of bills that facilitate corrupt officials' path to power, radicals and ultra-Orthodox are promoting initiatives that are extremely dubious for the secular part of society. Among them are the expansion of the powers of rabbinical courts, the refusal to adopt a law on domestic violence, the mandatory quota of haredim in state institutions, regardless of qualifications, attempts to equate certificates of religious educational institutions with diplomas and others.

In 2023, several MPs tried to push through a bill banning persuading people of a different faith to change their views, while stressing that it was aimed primarily at Christians. This caused resentment among American evangelicals, traditionally supporting Israel in the United States.

And this is not to mention the fact that the extremely radical actions of Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gwir are increasingly exacerbating the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Israel's relations with traditional allies. Corruption, inadequate actions of the far right and the desire of the ruling coalition to usurp power are just a consequence. The government didn't come out of nowhere: some parties that just 20 years ago might have seemed marginal were indeed voted for by the country's citizens. The reason is the increase in the number of Haredi - ultra-Orthodox Jews (see the population of Israel for more information about them.

Therefore, in the protests of 2023, Israeli society is worried not only about the usurpation of power by a separate group of people. They are also concerned about what path the country will take. And whether Israel will remain conditionally secular and democratic or a radical religious path awaits it, the Rybar channel noted.
