Pentaho company takeover

In February, 2015 Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) announced Pentaho Corporation acquisition. Purchase of Pentaho became the largest acquisition of the company in the field of Big Data. Read more here.

2013: Creation of the International bureau of technologies and planning

On August 28, 2013 the Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) corporation announced creation of the International bureau of technologies and planning. It was headed by Michael Hay, the vice president and the chief engineer who is responsible in Hitachi Data Systems for global planning of products. The bureau will work together with division of IT Platform Division Group (ITPD) of Hitachi corporation. The staff of new bureau will apply the experience and to provide technical solutions for internal programs of Hitachi and programs of clients, promoting innovations and synergy internationally.
