History

2017: HP Enterprise Services was part DXC Technology

On April 3, 2017 Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced completion of the transaction on department of business in the field of corporate IT services of HP of Enterprise Services and to its merge to Computer Sciences Corp (CSC). 2016: Merge to Computer Sciences

On May 24, 2016 Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced department of business of IT services and transfer of his Computer Sciences Corp company. At the expense of this step of HPE she intends to focus on cloud services and other fast-growing directions.

HPE gets rid of division of Enterprise Services which specializes in services of consulting, outsourcing and system integration. As a result of accession of this business to Computer Sciences there will be a company worth $26 billion, 50% of stocks of which will belong to shareholders of HPE.

HPE gets rid of business in the field of IT services

The head of Computer Sciences Mike Lawrie will become the president, the CEO and the chairman of the board of the new company. The structure of Board of Directors will be equally divided between the members selected by HPE and Computer Sciences. The CEO of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Meg Whitman will be included into this board.

As the chief financial officer of HPE Tim Stonesifer reported, expenses of the company on department of Enterprise Services will make $900 million, $300 million from which will be spent in 2016. The cost of division within this transaction is estimated at $8.5 billion.

HPE hope that transfer of division of IT services of Computer Sciences company will provide synergy of expenses equal to $1 billion in the first year after closing of the transaction which should take place by March, 2017.

Having got rid of division in the field of IT services, HPE intends to concentrate on development of cloud computing and production of servers and network equipment. Annual revenues of the company after closing of the transaction are expected at the level of $33 billion.

After the message about the transaction between HPE and Computer Sciences of a stock of these companies rose in price for 11% and 20% respectively during the prolonged trading session after closing of the exchange on May 24, 2016.^[1]

2015:

Revolt of employees because of low wages in Ciber

On September 11, 2015 it became known that the employees translated from HP to Ciber integrator began to earn significantly less in comparison with salaries in the American IT giant. The last hurried to correct a situation.

In August, 2015 presented HP with a choice of several hundred staff of division of Enterprise Services — or leaving the company on reduction, or transfer to Ciber where further work on projects of HP is possible. Both options assume some infringements.

HP achieved that the employees who went to Ciber, began to earn as before

If the employee made the decision on dismissal, then the benefits provided by that who got under mass personnel restructuring do not rely it. It is about the amount which would be received by the employee for a week of work. The number thus corresponds of the paid weeks to years of an experience in the service record.

The employees who agreed to pass into Ciber began to earn significantly less, than in HP. According to the Business Insider (BI) edition, in certain cases the wage differential made 30%, in others – about $20 thousand. For example, the programmers receiving $76 thousand in HP with experience in Ciber could expect more than 10 years only $40-50 thousand. Because of it many employees of Enterprise Services did not accept the offer on a transfer.

After this incident was made public, the management of HP appealed to Ciber to review labor contracts and to set salaries at the level which employees had before transition from HP.

The representative of the American corporation in general confirmed to BI this information. According to him, HP took additional steps to provide to injured employees the proper salary level.

As told the edition one of before dissatisfied with a salary in Ciber, after negotiations between the companies it is ready to return to work, and his colleagues also reviewed the opinions.^[2]

Ciber will work on behalf of HP Enterprise Services

On August 27, 2015 it became known that connected HP to work of Enterprise Services of large integrator for the purpose of expense optimization of division. The partner of the American producer selects the international company Ciber specializing in rendering outsourcing IT services.

"HP signed the agreement with the strategic personnel partner of Ciber for increase in flexibility in demand management on labor power" — reported in HP.

Shortly before this statement the Business Insider edition with reference to own sources wrote about liquidation of jobs to HP Enterprise Services. It was noted that to the dismissed employees suggested to pass into Ciber and the distance is 48 hours old on thought.

HP connects integrators to IT department for the purpose of expense optimization

This information was confirmed in HP, but explained that it is about a small amount of employees who as a part of Ciber will carry out tasks of department of HP of Applications Delivery Services on a contract basis. At the same time the division having an annual turnover in $22.3 billion concluded a number of large outsourcing deals, including with TNT and Deutsche Bank companies.

The head of HP Meg Whitman said that improvement of a financial position of Enterprise Services which is observed by August, 2015 is one of the main components of the crisis response strategy of the company.^[3]

2014: The agreement with Microsoft on providing Office 365 in a packet with products of HP

On December 3, 2014 the division of HP of Enterprise Services announced agreement signature with Microsoft under the terms of which the products Office 365 and corporate services HP will be offered in the form of a single solution package.

It is supposed that HP Enterprise Services for Office 365 will integrate advantages of the Office 365 office suite and global infrastructure of HP of Enterprise Services.

As a part of the solution number of the expanded functions of a cloud necessary for large business:

• detailed reporting on use of services,
• the managed services,
• the integrated support
• expanded options of placement of DPC.

In a packet of HP of Enterprise Services for Office 365 a number of services of the corporate level is offered:

• primary consultations,
• transformation services,
• current management,
• analysis,
• reportings
• user supports.

HP Enterprise Services for Office 365 is available on subscription model to the number of users.

2011: Agreement with SAP

On October 20, 2011 HP and SAP AG companies announced conclusion of an agreement according to which specialists of division of HP of Enterprise Services will provide cloud delivery of the SAP® applications. This delivery mode will allow the organizations to implement applications at the affordable price and with a possibility of their further scaling.

Thanks to the combined use of SAP solutions and HP Enterprise Services of the enterprise will be able to obtain much quicker information, important for business, that will allow them for shorter time carefully to think over all made decisions.

The implemented solution based on the SAP Customer Relationship Management system (SAP CRM) will become the first SAP application provided through a cloud platform of HP of Enterprise Services in an expedited manner.
