Purchase of Ahenahealth Medical Software Developer
At the end of November 2021, it became known about the sale of a developer ON for health care Athenahealth to investment companies. The deal amounted to $17 billion. Athenahealth is buying venture capital firms Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman from investment giants Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital. Purchase of medical equipment manufacturer Medline Industries
In early June 2021, a group of private investment companies entered into a deal to acquire Medline Industries for more than $30 billion. This is one of the largest purchases of companies involving credit and the sale of assets to cover debts since the financial crisis. More details here.
Purchase of Cordis vascular disease equipment business for $1 billion
In mid-March 2021, Cardinal Health sold a division of Cordis specializing in the production of equipment for the treatment of vascular diseases. A deal worth $1 billion was concluded with the investment company Hellman & Friedman. Closing of the transaction is expected in the second half of 2021. More details here.
2020: Kronos and Ultimate Software Merger
On February 20, 2020, Kronos and Ultimate Software, among the leaders in the HR software market, announced a merger.
