The Hermes company provides logistics services in the field of retail worldwide. The head office of the company is in Hamburg, this 100 percent affiliated enterprise Otto Group. In 2015 the consolidated revenue of Hermes Group grew to 2460 billion euros (growth by 11%), and the number of employees made 12215 people. Hermes provides the services worldwide, its offices are located in Great Britain, Russia, Italy and Austria. Since 2013 Hermes is official a premium the partner of Bundesliga.

The field of the international delivery which is actively gaining steam and also logistics for online commerce became a pacing factor. Only in Europe the Hermes company delivered more than 580 million departures - 11% more, than last year. 74% from them are shipments of the companies which are not entering into Otto Group. Growth in this segment of deliveries in 2015 was 16%.

Hermes Group having twelve specialized companies in structure is the only supplier in the market having an opportunity to provide all services in all retail network of delivery in the mode of one window of one source. Start of BorderGuru service thanks to which Hermes strengthens the positions in the growing international market of electronic trading can serve as one of examples of it. At the beginning of 2015 Hermes also invested means in the new business model under the name Liefery directed to satisfaction of demand for delivery growing in the field of trade "to the day". This project allows to perform delivery to buyers in day of the order in big cities.

Hermes also occupied a market share in the field of delivery services and installation of large-size goods: in 2015 thanks to this service 4.5 million pieces of furniture were delivered and the dimensional equipment - it is about 15% more, than in 2014. The service for delivery and installation of large-size goods shows steady growth for many years, and will save further the leading positions at the expense of high-quality provision of services and compliances to market demands.

Germany

Along with cooperation with new large customers, such as Yves Rocher and Glossybox, company also received as clients of new players of small and medium business. The planned expansion of logistic network Hermes, investments into which will make more than 300 million euros, became one of key drivers for this purpose. Since 2018 35 updated and expanded logistic centers will perform even more convenient delivery to clients in even more short time. The first new building is under construction in the city of Bad-Rappenau of the State of Baden-Württemberg now. "Implementation of new digital services inspires our business. Using the Hermes application in 2015 six times more users in comparison with previous year used the system of tracking of goods. The Desirable Delivery service allows users to select day and delivery location for sendings. It is supposed that the system of delivery of sendings in an individual parcel box, ParcelLock developed together with logistic companies DPD and GLS will make the system of delivery to private houses especially convenient. This service will be started in the summer of 2016. This cooperation is also crucial for Hermes in testing of new city logistic concepts: now the company supports the known research projects in the field of implementation of electric vehicles together with partners from the economic, scientific and political sphere in Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Great Britain

The division of Hermes in Great Britain is the largest non-state provider of services of delivery in the country, and his growth in 2015 also considerably advances the market. 4500 points of issue Hermes in Great Britain made the significant contribution to development of a segment of delivery and issues of sendings in issue points. From the moment of entry into the market in 2012 points of issue began to execute a role of an anycast address of delivery of receivers of orders of online stores. The current investments into technologies and infrastructure give the chance to develop this success. Hermes in Great Britain invests 23 million euros in the new portable scanners traced using satellite communication and also in many other interesting projects. Now also the logistic center worth 40 million euros in the city of Rugby in the County of Warwickshire is under construction, its area will be about 270000 square feet. This center is created for processing of fast-growing order amount on delivery from Great Britain to 190 countries of the world.

Austria

1600 points of issue Hermes in Austria since 2015 work on Saturdays - it is feature which profitable distinguishes Hermes from the direct competitors. The possibility of delivery during week-end means that Hermes was succeeded to improve considerably delivery dates, and now the company is considered the fastest service provider for commodity import to Austria.
