2024: Nevskaya Cosmetics bought Khaijenik
On January 15, 2024, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia approved the purchase by Nevskaya Cosmetics of Hygienic, Russia's largest manufacturer of feminine hygiene products. According to the department, the merger will not lead to a restriction of competition in the market for the production of paper products for household and sanitary and hygienic purposes.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nevskaya Cosmetics acquires 100% of Hygienic's voting shares (brands Ola!, Terezamed, Terezalady, Versia). In addition, Nevskaya Cosmetics received the right to buy 100% of Oltex S.A. JSC, which specializes in the production of sanitary napkins and disposable diapers, and 95.74% in the authorized capital of Mosmek Invest LLC. The value of the transaction as of the specified date has not been disclosed. According to the Kommersant newspaper, referring to information received from market participants, we can talk about the amount of about 3 billion rubles.
"Nevskaya Cosmetics" produces perfume and cosmetic products, soap and household chemicals under the trademarks "Eared Nanny," "New Pearl," "Mr. Chister," etc. Thanks to the deal, Nevskaya Cosmetics will be able to develop a new business area related to hygiene products. Khaijenik products are sold in 40 regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Georgia, Armenia, Lithuania, Belarus, etc.
As part of the deal, Nevskaya Cosmetics will receive a production site in the Moscow region, which is distinguished by high purchasing power. The general director of the agency "Infoline-Analytics" Mikhail Burmistrov believes that the buyer will not have problems with the loading of these capacities. Due to the departure of foreign suppliers from Russia, the demand for domestic hygienic products has increased.[1]
