2025: Launch of serial production of 3D printers for printing metal products
On December 10, 2025, mass production of innovative industrial 3D printers for working with metal was launched in Moscow. The equipment is developed and manufactured by the Moscow Center for Laser Technologies (MCLT).
Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, noted that "the start of mass production of a new 3D printer is another step towards the technological independence of our country." He also stressed that active support for innovative industrial enterprises is carried out on behalf of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
The new complex works using the technology of laser melting of metal powder. This makes it possible to grow products from different alloys and achieve optimal characteristics of parts obtained from metals.
According to the general director of the manufacturing company, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Alexander Grigoryants, "the flexible configuration of the industrial complex can satisfy the needs of almost any production." The equipment can be used in mechanical engineering, instrument engineering and the rocket and space industry.
According to the Moscow Industrial portal, the ICLT was created with the cooperation of the Department of Laser Technologies in Mechanical Engineering of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and with the support of the Moscow government. The center accumulates advanced developments in the field of laser technologies and is the owner of numerous patents and copyright certificates.
The launch of this production is part of Moscow's overall strategy for the development of high-tech industry. Earlier, the production of photonic integrated circuits was opened in the special economic zone "Technopolice Moscow[1]
