The Russia's first cloud center of collective development of microelectronics which is developed by ITFY company based on a hardware and software system of IBM within creation of the Center of electronic technologies will be started in the spring of 2013. Announced this TAdviser in the press service of ITFY on December 27, 2012.
On December 25, 2012 the company announced end of the first stage of creation of the Center of collective development of microelectronics implemented within the Center of Electronic Technologies (CET).
"The project on creation of cloud project environment is very significant in a wide context of global innovative development and the innovative development of Russia. Now the subject of a transfer of technologies as pledge for overcoming an imbalance and creation of new impulses in world economy is actively discussed", – Leonid Svatkov, the president of ITFY company noted.
The TAdviser company told that the center of collective development is under construction ITFY together with IBM in Russia and the CIS. "It is planned that Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor will be added to this project later. As for the Center of electronic technologies, Skolkovo, Rusnano, RVC and Rostelecom participate in this project in addition to us", - told TAdviser in the company.
"Now we completed the first development stage. Final start of the center is planned for the second quarter 2013. By this moment we are going to set the first full-fledged route of design of IBM and to provide on it training. Other routes can be available according to the preliminary arrangement with customers earlier", - explained in ITFY.
After the licensing of technologies of development of a CAD of IBM with topology of 90 nanometers which took place in the middle of 2012, ITFY made the decision on contract signature with IBM on providing server capacities for cloud project environment based on the hosting center IBM in Russia and the CIS.
In process of increase in demand for services infrastructure and, in particular, server capacities will be increased in proportion.
So in ITFY TAdviser told that within the center of collective development the solution IBM Platform Computing optimized for use of a CAD is delivered. "Management of computing clusters is made by means of Platform Computing LSF - the system of distribution of loadings. Given software allows to reach loading of resources to 90%, i.e. practically as much as possible to use the capacity of the computing platform. The hardware of a cloud is constructed on powerful servers of IBM, network equipment of Cisco", - the press service reported.
"Cloud project environment will be placed in the hosting center IBM. For the end of 2012 under tasks of the center it is selected tens terabyte of disk space which can be at any time expanded according to needs of the customer", – the director of the department of technology services IBM in Russia and the CIS Mikhail Lebedev emphasized.
First of all in cloud infrastructure software products of IBM, in particular, routes of a CAD of development of IBM with topology of 90 nanometers and a set of IP blocks (building tools) will be placed.
The cloud will give the chance to the companies to manufacture the chips using the most modern license products, just renting program and hardware capacities of the environment that will provide price advantages in comparison with purchase of similar software in the market. Production will be initially performed at the factories making chips on technologies of IBM that is a best quality guarantee – at the exit the client receives the chip, already tested and ready to use. Further, in process of expansion of a pool of producers of the microchips provided in a cloud environment the customer will have alternatives when choosing factory.
"In the medium term we expect approximately 500 clients users of a cloud system of development", - the president of ITFY Leonid Svatkov told.
Primary clients ITFY sees the average sizes the design centers (from 20 to 50 developers). Decrease in cost value of design of chips in cloud project environment can be about 20%. The geography of potential customers and users of the solution is defined as follows: Russia, Western Europe, countries of the Middle East and India. "Economy of means and an opportunity will work from any place in the world to be the basic advantage in addition to all the rest", - told TAdviser in ITFY.
