At Prime production in Tutaev, gas and diesel power plants with a capacity of over 1 MW are assembled and packaged.
History
2025: Commissioning of the second stage of the Prime plant
In Russia, PSM commissioned the second stage of the Prime plant for the production of diesel and gas power plants with a capacity of 1000 kilowatts for the oil and gas and mining industries. The volume of investments in the Prime-2 project amounted to more than ₽250 million, which made it possible to double the production area of the enterprise to 6.5 thousand square meters. This was announced on August 9, 2025 by the general director of PSM Andrei Medvedev.
According to TASS, the implementation of the project ensured the creation of over 60 new jobs, increasing the total number of personnel at the production site to 130 employees. Development financing was carried out with the participation of the state corporation for the development of ВЭБ.РФ, which provided a preferential loan of ₽140 million.
Andrei Medvedev clarified that the launch of additional production facilities occurred from October 2024. The plant is equipped with a test bench for a comprehensive check of the operation of diesel and gas power plants. The company focuses on the production of high-capacity power equipment, including installations over 2 megawatts.
The plant's products are designed for local generation of electricity in various sectors of the economy. Power plants are used in oil and gas production, development of valuable metal deposits, in power and agriculture. The main consumers of equipment are leading Russian corporations.
Among the key customers of the enterprise are Gazprom, Rosseti, Rosneft, Transneft, Alrosa, Rosatom and Novatek. The head of PSM stressed that the expansion of the production base allowed the organization to increase the production of high-capacity power plants to meet the increased demand for energy equipment in the economic sectors of Russia after 2022.[1]
2024: Investing in our own innovative projects more than a billion rubles
The Yaroslavl production and engineering company has invested more than a billion rubles in its own innovative projects. The company announced this on March 14, 2024.
The technological development of Russia involves active cooperation between business and the state. The need to support projects related to the production of priority industrial products is quite acute. During the annual Address to the Federal Assembly, President RFVladimir Putin said that more than 620 billion rubles will be allocated to support industry by 2030. However, in the realities of 2024, companies continue to count on themselves and invest mainly their own funds in development. Thus, the total amount of investments in the production sites of PSM for 2020-2025. will amount to 1.2 billion rubles.
After the imposition of sanctions, investors began to exercise caution, making decisions regarding not only new projects, but also the further implementation of existing ones. Companies with low investment levels quickly show the first signs of technological lag. For this reason, we carefully ensure that the volume of investments meets the needs to increase the future income of PSM. In 2024, our investments in production sites should exceed 5% of revenue, - said PSM CEO Andrei Medvedev. |
Investments allow you to constantly improve the quality of the supplied equipment, increase its competitiveness, improve business processes within the company. The investment also contributes to a significant increase in the qualifications of specialists and production in general. High quality standards and professionalism of industrial enterprises must be confirmed on the certification of significant market players: such as Rosseti, Gazprom, Rosneft, Novatek, etc. So, in January, Transneft Research Institute extended the certificate of conformity of PSM products, which records the inclusion of equipment in the Transneft ORP register and allows it to be operated at facilities. This status confirms the quality and reliability of diesel power plants manufactured by PSM with a capacity of 100 kW and above.
