Institute of Business and Business Administration of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation

IBDA RANEPA leader of the Russian business education, the largest business school of the country. IBDA provides a full stroke of training programs: from a bachelor degree to a postgraduate study and DBA. On master programs for management, the MVA, Executive MBA and DBA programs in IBDA more than 900 listeners, over 8 thousand graduates study.

History of Institute

• 1988-1989 Creation of School of the international business of MGIMO. (In English: "International business school", in abbreviated form: "IBS-Moscow". Set on the first programs.
• 1990 The introduction in members of the European fund of development of management (EFMD). Creation of club of graduates of school is IBS-M Alumni Club. Initiative of organization of the Russian Association of Business Education (RABE).
• 1991 Beginning of implementation of medium-term programs of occupational retraining. The number of training programs reaches 10. Receiving state accreditation and right of issue of diplomas of the state sample.
• 1992 A prize of the tender of the Commission of the European Community on technical assistance of Russia in the field of business education for the amount of 1.5 million ECU. The group of seven leading professors of IBS-M undergoes retraining in the leading business schools of the USA (Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, Warton, Sloun). The first national rating of business schools which is carried out by the Finansovye Izvestiya newspaper puts IBS-M on the first place.
• 1993 Set on the first rate of the program of the higher education - the Bachelor of business administration (VVA).
• 1994 The beginning of the Double Diploma project giving to students the chance of simultaneous obtaining the Russian and European diplomas about the higher education. Agreement signature with the first foreign partner on the project - the International business school and management (Rotterdam, Holland).
• 1994 Creation of faculty of the first higher education (FMBDA – faculty of the international business and business administration). Preparation for moving to ANH at the Government of the Russian Federation.
• 1995 Moving on the territory of "a smithy of ministers" - in Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation (The former Academy at Council of ministers of the USSR). Liquidation of ShMB MGIMO and creation of Institute of business and business administration (In English: "Institute of Business Studies", in abbreviated form: "IBS"). Creation based on the Entrepreneur program of the new program of occupational retraining "Director of economics and finance".
• 1996 Beginning of implementation of the master program of preparation for top managers Strategic management. Creation of the second faculty as a part of IBDA: the faculty of retraining of top managers called by the Faculty of Strategic Management (FSM).
• 1997 The first release of the diplomaed bachelors of management of IBDA ANKH. The first domestic bachelors with "The double diploma" - Russian and Dutch. Holding Russia's first international conference on trademarks.
• 1998 The beginning of the Russia's first Executive MBA program implemented jointly with School of management of University of Antwerp UAMS (Belgium). The institute overcomes effects of a default and strengthens positions in the market of business education of Russia.
• 1999 Agreement signature on the Double Diploma project in the higher education with one more European partner – the Higher business school (Paris, France).
• 1999 Celebration of decade of Institute. Grand welcome of graduates of all years. High quality of the IBDA programs is noted in congratulations from the Harvard business school, school Stern of New York University, the Rotterdam, Antwerp Universities, etc. Opening of two departments and two specializations (national and international) at faculty of the first higher education of Institute.
• 2000 Beginning of training in the five-year High school program (specialization "Management of the organization"). At Institute the Master of Business Administration program (MBA) constructed taking into account new state standard opened. At set on the high school program of Institute tender reached 2.5 people into place, 25% enlisted – medallists.
• 2001 Successful carrying out in consortium with MGIMO of the Presidential program of management training (IBDA provides semantic, MGIMO – linguistic preparation). High quality of the program is mentioned by the diploma signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
• 2001 The third agreement on the Double Diploma project (in the higher education) is signed with the Higher school of business of the University of Luton (Great Britain).
• 2002 The institute begins carrying out the first Russian Executive MBA program (PEMBA). Work on preparation of a series of textbooks for listeners of programs of post-qualifying education begins. Acceptance in the residence of the ambassador of Belgium on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the joint program of "Executive MBA" of School of management of University of Antwerp (UAMS).
• 2003 IBDA opens three specializations on the MVA program: management of marketing, management of HR and management of the cost of the companies. Practicians and consultants are involved in teaching specializations. The institute opens the MVA program in a modular format focused on Russian regional business elite. The first group of listeners of the Russian EMVA program leaves on a training in the Rotterdam school of management.
• 2004 Especially for regional managers of business IBDA opens the Russian EMVA program in a modular (intramural and extramural) format. The number of the textbooks written by teachers of IBDA especially for the MBA and EMBA correspondence programs of Institute reached the 15. At high school faculty of Institute 10 budget ("free") places appeared.
• 2005 At high school faculty IBDA the internal magistracy on management opens. For the first time tender on preparatory faculty of Institute made 1.5 people into place. For the graduates of IBDA who graduated the Institute a few years ago the program of updating of knowledge consisting of 4 master classes of the best teachers opens. The EMVA program which is carried out jointly with Business school of University of Antwerp (UAMS) Belgium becomes the first Russian program accredited by the supreme accreditation body of the world – AACSB International.
• 2006 The EMVA modular (intramural and extramural) program opens (UAMS) which is carried out jointly with School of management of the university Antwerp, Belgium. The institute carries out the first set on the annual program MVA for graduates of economic universities and the Presidential program. IBDA enters consortium IBSA (International Business School Alliance) where the universities of England, France, Germany and Spain enter. It gives the chance for students of the master program, having studied one semester at the partner university, to gain the Russian state diploma and the diploma of the European university of master level. IBDA once again wins first place in rating Russian business of schools.
• The EMVA program of Institute becomes the Russian program first in the history called in the list of the best programs of the world by the American magazine "Business Week". The world famous scientist, the author of the theory of lifecycle of the organization doctor Ishak Adizes becomes the research supervisor of programs of Institute. Tender on programs of retraining of managers becomes an everyday occurrence. Graduates of Institute surely hold top lines in the ratings of the most successful managers of Russia. The program of the first higher education is updated, the MBA and EMBA programs are improved. The quality of training is improved.
• 2007 Bachelors of IBDA ANKH Tatyana Dyachkova and Andrey Tarabanov studying according to the Double Diploma program in University of Bedfordshire became winners of competition on the best business project "i Factor" which is annually carried out in Great Britain within the program of development of a student's entrepreneurship. Participants of tender should provide the developed concept of the business project with indication of development perspectives, the description of target audience, the analysis of competitive environment, justification of competitive advantages of the business project, assessment of the expected turnover and financial profitability, and characteristics of uniqueness of the offer (USP). Tatyana and Andrey's business project received the highest assessment and won tender.
• On FMBD within partnership with the International Alliance of IBSA business schools protection of theses of the undergraduates in English who were trained at Faculty of economy of the University in Valencia, Spain for the first time took place (University de Valencia Estudi General (UV): Master in International Business). After the EMVA program the MVA IBDA program also joins in the list of the best programs of the world the American magazine "Business Week". The MBA and EMBA programs of Institute obtain accreditation of one of the most reputable associations in the world of business education - AMVA (Association of MBAs).
• 2008 On the MVA program new specialization - "An entrepreneurship and company management" opens. Based on Institute there takes place the Russia's first international conference of Association of business schools of Central and Eastern Europe – CEEMAN. Listeners of the MVA Executive program pass an educational training Cambridge and Durham, in the well-known business schools of Great Britain (Judge Business School Cambridge University and Durham Business School Durham University)
• 2009 4 new programs of occupational retraining Entrepreneur, "HR director", Commercial director, "The strategy of management of cost" are created. New specialization on the MVA program – "Economy and finance opens. The innovative technology of formation of programs of business education – "MVA-designer" is developed. On all programs for the acting managers: MBA, EMBA, prof retraining, a managerial magistracy especially for busy professionals is entered a new format of training – the Weekend format.
• 2010 The new program of prof retraining "The master of operational management" the IBDA Master programs the first is created and only in Russia qualities of EPAS (European Programs Accreditation System) obtain prestigious European accreditation. In IBDA the Workshop of creative growth for preparation of the post-degree programs aimed at personal development of the head is created. Based on the innovation holding "Dorkhan" - the leader of the Russian market of the automatic vorotny systems, IBDA creates new business school – Odintsovo. For the first time in Russia structural divisions of the real company are used as educational laboratory in which students of business school work skills of use of effective managerial technologies.
• In 2010 the Institute of business and business administration which is a part of the ANH educational holding at the Government of the Russian Federation together with formation of the new universtitet of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public service under the President of the Russian Federation purchases the complete name of Institute of business and business administration of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public service under the President of the Russian Federation (in abbreviated form IBDA RANKH and GS under the President of the Russian Federation).
