2025: Purchase of medical equipment for ₽100 million
Kamchatka Regional Maternity Hospital received more than 40 units of modern medical equipment as part of the implementation of the national project "Family" in 2025, more than half of this equipment has already been put into operation and is used to provide highly qualified assistance to mothers and newborns. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kamchatka Territory Kirill Serenko in November 2025.
According to kaminform.online, among the equipment supplied are artificial lung ventilation devices, anesthesia-respiratory devices and Doppler analyzers for monitoring the cardiovascular activity of the mother and fetus. Serenko noted that this equipment meets modern standards for the provision of medical care.
The total financing of health care in the Kamchatka Territory within the framework of the federal project "Health for Everyone" amounted to more than ₽2 billion mainly from the federal budget. The funds are directed to the comprehensive modernization of the medical infrastructure of the region.
Serenko stressed that the implementation of national projects not only increases the availability and quality of medical services, but also contributes to attracting qualified specialists to the region. The program also promotes the development of medical infrastructure, including remote settlements of the peninsula.
In the obstetric department of the Kamchatka regional maternity hospital, major repairs were completed. The updated department is equipped with new transforming beds, wireless KTG devices and modern equipment for operating rooms. A large monitor is installed in the ultrasound diagnostics room to improve the accuracy of studies.
In addition to the new medical equipment, the facade and window structures of the building have been updated, additional sanitary facilities have been created for the convenience of patients. The modernization of the infrastructure is aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for women in labor and medical personnel.
The regional government announced plans to revise the organization of nutrition in the institution with the transition to an individual meal in the wards. The vacant space will be converted for gymnastic exercises of pregnant women and other medical procedures.[1][2]
